Welcome Back!

Hello readers!
I had a wonderful summer, and I hope you all did too. Here’s a brief recap:
1) A rocky start with my uncle-in-law’s sudden passing in Minnesota. It was good to see family, though. That’s one bright side of funerals :(
2) We drove to Minnesota and spent 4 amazing weeks with family and friends. My son thoroughly being the center of attention!
3) Meanwhile, I took the Advanced Revision and Submission Strategies: Fiction at Grubstreet. I workshopped a piece set in the universe I created for my novel series. It was great to receive some solid feedback, and the story is much easier to follow now.
4) I’ve started sending my novel to agents again. Here’s to more rejections but, HOPEFULLY, some more interest! I got some excellent feedback from Kit Haggard of Grubstreet about my submission materials. It helps to have a mentor.
5) I wrote a blog post for the MetroWest Writers’ Guild about community in the Guild. It’s a special place for me and many others. I don’t know where my writing would be without it!
6) We’re back to reality after a great Labor Day Weekend. One memorable event coming up for us is our return to the King Richard’s Faire, the local Renaissance festival in Massachusetts. I think our son’s mind will be blown :)
How were your summers? I hope everything is good on your ends. Leave a comment here or on socials and let me know. More to come soon!
